Free digital skills workshops for migrants in Cyprus
Basicl training on everyday life and work
The Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy is launching a new initiative to boost digital literacy among immigrants. This initiative involves offering free seminars to help third-country nationals legally residing in Cyprus acquire basic digital skills.
The workshops will be held from April through June by Opinion and Action in collaboration with the NGO “Generation for Change” under the title “First Step – Digital Life Paths for TCNs”
The initiative is funded by the EU through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and aims to strengthen the integration of migrants by developing practical digital skills, both in their daily lives and in the labor market.
As part of this initiative, two digital skills workshops will be held. The first, “Digital Skills for Everyday Life,” focuses on the basic use of digital media, computers, and the internet, accessing online services, and safe internet browsing.
The second workshop, “Digital Skills for Employment,” covers the use of digital tools for job searching, creating a resume, using basic word processing applications, and becoming familiar with artificial intelligence tools. The seminars will be held in person in Nicosia, with the option of online participation, each lasting a total of 6 hours, to facilitate participation by interested individuals from across Cyprus.
The program is aimed at migrants and their family members. Those interested can express their interest in participating through the program’s communication channels.
